At the Institute of Neurology we are carrying out research with people who have had a stroke. We are particularly interested in language and brain recovery after stroke. We are looking at which parts of the brain are important in language processing and recovery. The research involves visiting our department for an MRI brain scan and some language assessments.
We are interested in hearing from anyone who has had a stroke and is able to travel to us and have an MRI scan. The visit takes around two hours and all volunteers are offered an image of their brain. Travel expenses within and around London (not more than £50) are covered.
