Different strokes Discussion Board

This message board is now closed to new posts, but you can still read and search the messages and you might find an answer to your question here.
The change of message board has been made to stop the spam postings which arrived on this board at the rate of about 2 or 3 a minute, 24 hours a day. Despite the best efforts of a large band of volunteers deleting them this made the board virtually unusable in its final months. Anyone can read the new message board, but only those who have registered will be able to post messages.
To go straight to the new board, just click the link at the bottom of this message. I’m sure that some people will find the new board strange at first, but we have made it as accessible as possible and we are confident that everyone will soon find it as easy to use and familiar as this one. If you have any difficulties then just click the “contact us” button at the top right of the new board.
Finally our thanks to all the volunteers – without them Different Strokes couldn’t provide a message board, or any of its other services. In recent months there has been a hard-working team removing spam postings – thank you all. Special thanks to Steve Gambrell who set up the Different Strokes website 12 years ago and was webmaster and boardmaster for many years; to Peter Allen our current, long-serving boardmaster and moderator who has spent hours removing spam postings from the this board and at the same time helping design the new board; and to Olga Matthews who cheerfully stepped in to give hours of her time to clear the spam and to give her IT expertise in helping to design the new board.
