Hi Dave,

Brilliant thanks, I had a look, and through all the jargon, have found some very useful stuff.
Glad the gabapentin takes the edge off- too right about stopping- ooowch! Yes like you said about where it is, yes I think it works the same with strokes in other parts of the brain, whichever side is effected, effects the other. Mine was a right thalamic infract, so its my left side.
Neurologists are constantly discovering new ways in which the brain heals itself, aren't they, and i've been told that the more you use your 'wrong' side you strengthen it and send the 'correct' signals to the brain to re-program/ re-route the signals. This is difficult when its sore though, but i find stretching myself out helps-sort of.
We definately will improve, i know that i should be a bit more patient! :-)
