Hello - Agree Stuart - even when I was able I never wore shoes/trainers with laces - being the lazy person I am. I live in trainers because of a foot splint and an orthotic in my shoe. Its 2 years since my stroke and the way I engaged my stroke hand initially was to interact the good hand with the stroke hand eg switching a light - I lifted the stroke arm as high as I could, then helped it along with the good arm eventually reaching the light switch and after several tries I switch it off. Now I do it without engaging the right arm. The same goes for peeling onions, potatoes, opening doors etc. Having been botoxed 4 weeks ago, I find my stroke arm has relaxed more and flexibility has increased. The dexterity isnt there but I live in hope
