Just after my wife had one of her strokes (she has had two major brain stem strokes and now up to at least 7 smaller strokes according to her latest MRI scan!)we met with Donal the original founder of DS.
He told us s story that just after his stroke his father died and at his funeral he burst out laughing. He covered his face with his hankie and fortunately eventually he laughed till he cried! He could then face the rest of the mourners.
My wife had trouble with being too emotional but her anti-epilepsy drugs seemed to have helped.
