Seizures post stroke

Hello everyone - my first post!I would have posted before now but have not had much luck accessing the board - it kept "locking up" on me!. Anyway I was just curious that since my stroke in Feb 2005 I have had 5 seizures, these started in Jan 2006 and the carbamazepine used to control them does not seem to be working.I simply hate these "episodes" as I call them, I cannot be alone in experiencing these can I? Is it just a case of getting the medication right so I can get these behind me? Do all the anti convulsant drugs cause drowsiness? ( because after nearly 9 months the carbamazepine still is!! I have been living in a "fog" since they started) Anyone who has gone through this out there?
